MARCH

StGeorgesHall_March_VF-5091_edited.jpg

MARCH for narrator and flexible ensemble explores the rhythms, dynamics and emotional landscapes of political marching at a time of upheaval and polarisation.

March_CloreBallroom_VF-6997.jpg

MARCH oscillates between intimate monologue, mass protest, and absurd game show. The work explores and recreates the visceral expereince of participating in a political march, while posing questions to the participants and the audience regarding their thoughts and feelings about violent resistance, the power of music, and ketchup vs mustard.

Playable by any group of musicians, this open score work is designed for community participation – any musician of any ability can join in! It has been performed by community ensembles, university students, and pop up bands.

"Refreshingly imaginative concert. Positive and creative.

I couldn't help feeling truly energised and optimistic."
